Up to 60% of Life360 drivers could save money with this new feature from our partner Arity®. * As a member you can receive personalized quotes next time you apply for auto insurance based on your driving behavior data. When you opt-in to use your driving behavior data to get personalized insurance quotes, Life360 will share your precise geolocation and mobile device sensor data (including gyroscope and acceleration) with Arity so they can work with participating insurance companies to better understand how you behave behind the wheel and make offers based on how you drive. This opt-in program provides safer drivers with the potential for lower rates.
Your Life360 driving data cannot be linked back to your insurance rates unless you actively sign up to use your Arity driving score and driving behavior data for personalized insurance quotes. You can opt-out of Arity’s use of your data for Arity purposes at any time by selecting “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” in the Life360 in-app Privacy Center (more info below).
For more information on how your Arity driving score is calculated, see here.
*Note: This percentage is an estimate from our partner Arity. High risk drivers could receive higher rates, but you can opt-out anytime. If you opt-out, Life360 and Arity will promptly process your opt-out so your future Life360 data will not be used for this program.
Arity driving score calculation
Your Arity driving score is a measure of how safe a driver you are. Your score is based on several factors:
- Distracted driving
- Speeding
- Sudden braking
- Time of day
The calculation accounts for the behaviors relative to the number of miles driven. This ensures the score reflects your driving patterns, so rare behaviors – such as braking suddenly to avoid hitting a deer or driving home from a concert late at night – won’t have a significant impact on your score. If you’re a safe driver you could have significant savings on your monthly auto insurance premiums.
An Arity driving score is calculated per individual and does not include other Circle members.

Information shared with insurance providers
If you choose to opt-in to use your driving behavior data to get personalized insurance quotes, Life360 will share your account information, including name, address, email address, and telephone number (to the extent available) in obfuscated form with Arity to enable them to associate your Life360 driving behavior data with your car insurance application. Once that match is complete, Arity will share your Arity driving score and driving behavior data with insurance providers so they can provide you with more personalized auto insurance quotes. Your Life360 account information will not be used by Arity or participating insurance companies for marketing purposes.
Note: Insurers are required to disclose that they will obtain your driving data during the quoting process. If your final insurance quote is increased due to your driving behavior data, you will receive an adverse action notice in the mail.
