How Tile works with Life360

Link your accounts to see your Tile’s last known location on the Life360 map. You can find and manage your Tiles within Life360.

Link your Tile Account to your Life360 Account

1. Open or download the Life360 app on your smartphone.
2. If you have a Life360 account, login, or select Get Started to create an account.
3. Select the Circle you want to add Tiles to.
4. Tap the keys icon or scroll down to and select Add an Item.
5. Select Add your Tiles.
6. If you have a Tile account, select Yup, link my Tile account, or select Not Yet to download the Tile app and create an account.
7. Login to Tile. Note: Facebook login is only available on Android.
8. On the Success screen in Life360, tap the arrows to view Tile functions.
1. On the Enable Bluetooth screen in the welcome flow, tap Enable Bluetooth.
2. Tap Ok on the pop-up notification.
9. Tiles will show on the Life360 map.

Share linked Tiles to additional Circles

1. Select the Circle you want to add Tiles to.
2. Scroll down to and select Add an Item.
3. Select Share your Tiles.

Repeat for each Circle you want to share Tiles.

Note: It may take up to 15 minutes for your Tiles to appear on your Life360 map.

Circle members will be able to see Tile on the map and under Items in the Life360 app. Once new Tiles are activated, they will automatically show up in Life360 for all Circle members.

Find your Tile in the Life360 app

1. In the Life360 app, scroll down to and select the Tiled item you want to ring.
2. Tap Find to open the Tile in the Tile app.
3. Tap Find to ring your Tile.

Edit Tile Name and Photo in the Life360 app

1. In the Life360 app, scroll down to and select the Tiled item you want to edit.
2. Tap Edit Name and Photo to open the Tile in the Tile app.
3. Edit the Tile Name and Photo.

Share a Tile in the Life360 app

Your Circle members will not be able to ring your Tiles or see and find your Tiles in the Tile app unless you share your Tiles with your Circle members.

1. In the Life360 app, scroll down to and select the Tiled item you want to share.
2. Tap Share to open the Tile in the Tile app.
3. Share the Tile.

Disconnect your Tile account from Life360 Circles

1. In the Life360 app, tap Settings at the top left.
2. Tap Tiles.
3. Tap Unlink Tiles.
4. Select Unlink Tile Account to confirm.

Repeat for each Circle you want to disconnect.

Common Questions

Do I need a paid Life360 membership to use my Tiles in Life360?

No. If you already have Tiles you can link your accounts and see them in the Life360 app.

Can I pick which Tiles I connect to Life360?

No, all Tiles activated on your Tile account will be added to Life360, but they will only be visible to the Circles you add them to. You can choose to share with more than one Circle.

Can I add a Tile that I did not purchase/receive from Life360?

Yes, all active Tiles on your account will show in Life360.

Where can I purchase Tile devices?

Tile Bluetooth trackers can be purchased at www.tile.com.

What is the Tile Network?

All Tiles emit a secure Bluetooth signal, so when a phone with the Life360 or Tile app passes by your item, you’ll get a location update as part of the Tile Network — automatically and anonymously.

How does Tile track location?

Tile uses Bluetooth technology to make a connection with the Tile app on your device. Once the Tile is within Bluetooth range and the connection is established, it relies on the GPS location services of your device to update the location information in your app. The Tile itself does not have GPS location services.
