If another Circle member's device has a strong and consistent internet connection, you may see them moving in real-time.
Note: Gold and Platinum members can turn Drive Detection on to see real-time movement.
The Life360 app gets a signal every two seconds while being viewed. Press the refresh button or close and reopen the app to reset your 5-minute viewing limit. If the map shows a spinning circle, we cannot detect the member's speed due to their poor connection.
If you are not seeing real-time movement:
- Ensure your cell signal is greater than two bars.
- Charge your phone to at least 10%.
- Allow Life360 to run in the background, and turn battery-saver mode off.
- Do not place calls while sending or receiving real-time movement signals. There are some carriers whose cell data may not function reliably while you are on a phone call.
