Jiobit - How to Upgrade Firmware

Firmware Upgrade

Your home's trusted Wi-Fi network is required to receive the firmware update. If you do not have a Wi-Fi network at home here is an option to ensure the Jiobit receives the firmware update:

  • Android 

Once you have access to a Wi-Fi network (hotspot or router) you can follow the directions in the article below: 

• Add Wi-Fi to My Jiobit's Trusted Place

Now, you can proceed to upgrade the firmware by following the steps below:

1. Place the Jiobit on the charging dock
2. Leave on the charger overnight (within 10 ft of router or hotspot)

To confirm that Jiobit has received the firmware update you can go to:

1. Tap on Menu 
2. Tap on Account
3. Tap on Jiobit Assets
4. Select  Jiobit
5. Scroll to the bottom of the page and it will show the Firmware version 

Firmware updates can take up to 3 hours to download and install, as the device needs to be fully charged. The FW upgrade can start within a few minutes if the device is fully charged.
