If anyone in your family gets a new phone, make sure they log out of Life360 on all old devices before using the app on the new one. This way, the app will recognize the right devices and location sharing will work properly for you and your entire Circle!
Good news—we store your information so that nothing is lost when you switch to a new phone! (and congrats on the new phone, by the way).
You can use your same login information on your new phone to access your Circles and history.
Follow these steps to log back in:
- If you can, first log out of the app on your old phone
- Download Life360 to your new phone
- Log in with the username and password on your account
Be sure to log into your account instead of creating a new account. Creating a new account will not connect you to the members of your existing account and will result in multiple Circles.
If your new device is still showing the location of your old device, change the password on your account. Then log out of the app, power off your phone, log back in, and tap on 'Check In' to specify your location. This will refresh the account. If these steps do not work the first time, try them again. It may take some time to sync your account.
