Some new users may see a message that their phone number or email address is already in use on Life360. This happens when someone who used to own the phone number has a Life360 account and did not update their information. Sometimes a user may mis-type their email address causing this problem, too.
If a Life360 account was previously created using the mobile number you now own, you can claim this number by visiting https://www.life360.com/claim-number and following these steps:
Enter your phone number on this page and we'll send you a verification code in a text message
- Once you receive the code, enter it into the Claim a Phone Number form
- You will now be able to use that number for your account
- If you did not receive the SMS text, please try again in a little while. If you still do not receive the code, tap on the 'Contact Us' button on the top right of your screen for assistance
If you are receiving the message that the email address is already in use, the customer care team can help you fix this. Tap on the 'Contact Us' button on the top right of your screen and send an email from the email address you wish to use.
