Tile Lost and Found

Tiles 

The 2022 and 2024 Tile lineup (Pro, Mate, and Slim) has a QR code printed on the back. If someone finds your Tile, they can scan the QR code to help return it.

Note: The Tile Sticker's QR code cannot be scanned. 

How It Works

When a finder scans the QR code on a Tile device, they are taken to a page where they can share their location or leave a message.

If the finder submits information, the Tile owner receives a notification email. The finder does not see the Tile owner's contact information.

Tile Lost and Found Labels

1. Open the Tile app.
2. Select the Tile that you want to locate.
3. Tap on “What happens now?”
4. In the Add Contact Info page, enter the Phone Number and/or Email Address you can be contacted at and your message for the finder.
5. You can choose to skip this step if you do not want to enable Lost and Found.
6. Tap on Save.

Unlike the Tile Pro, Mate, and Slim, Tile Labels provide contact information through the Tile app to anyone who finds your item; they do not provide location updates or notifications. More information can be found in Tile Lost and Found Labels.

Be Safe

Your safety is important. We recommend taking some precautions when meeting someone to retrieve your Tile.

• Insist on a public meeting place like a restaurant or police station.
• Avoid meeting in a secluded location or inviting strangers into your home.
• Tell a friend or family member where you are going.
• Take your cell phone along.
• Consider having a friend accompany you.
• Trust your instincts.
