Lost and Found Labels

Lost and Found Labels are adhesive QR codes that help return lost items to their owners. They are available only in the United States and the United Kingdom.

1. Activate the Label in the Tile app.
2. Stick Tile Lost and Found Labels to your things.
3. If your item is lost, the finder can scan the QR code to view the contact information you added and return your item.

Stick your dishwasher-safe Lost and Found Labels to your favorite items, such as tablets, lunchboxes, and water bottles. Labels are not currently recommended for use on textiles and cloth. 

The Label glue gets stronger after 48 hours, so we recommend waiting 48 hours after application before trying to peel off or wash the Label.

Labels are intended to provide contact information through the Tile app to anyone who finds your item; they do not provide location updates or notifications. 

Activate My Lost and Found Label

New User

1. Download the Tile App on your compatible smartphone or tablet.
2. Tap on Get Started.
3. Tap on Activate a Tile.
4. Enter your email and password.
5. Tap on Sign Up.
6. Enter the 6-digit verification code from the email you receive.
7. Enable Permission Settings.
8. Select Label.
9. Tap on Scan QR Code, scan QR code (you must allow Tile access to use your phone's camera).
10. Tap on Next.
11. Select a category for your Tile Lost and Found Label.
12. Name the Label and tap on Save and Continue.
13. Add Contact Info (phone number, email, or both) and tap on Save and Continue.
14. Tap on Done.

Existing User

1. Sign in to the Tile app.
2. Tap on the + at the top left corner of the app.
3. Tap on Activate a Tile.
4. Select Lost and Found Label.
5. Tap on Scan QR Code and scan your Label’s QR code (you must allow Tile access to use your phone's camera).
6. Tap on Next.
7. Select a category for your Tile Lost and Found Label.
8. Name the Label and tap Save and Continue.
9. Add Contact Info (phone number, email, or both) and tap on Save and Continue.
10. Tap on Done.

Note: If you do not see the option to add a Lost and Found label, please update your app to the latest version. 

Manage Lost and Found Labels

Once you’ve activated your Label, make changes by tapping the Label you want to edit: 

• Change my Label’s name, photo, or category
• Hide my Label
• Transfer my Label
• I’ve found a Tile Label

Note:

• Hiding your Label will not deactivate or make it unfindable. Contact Customer Care if you need help deleting a Label and its contact information.
• Find My Phone does not work with Tile Lost and Found Labels.
