Life360 and Uber have partnered to bring ride visibility directly into the Life360 app for members in the US (excluding California). When you link your Uber account to Life360, you and your Circle members can see when someone is on an Uber ride and send rides to each other.
Link An Uber Account
To link an Uber account to your Life360 Circle:
- Tap on your avatar on the Life360 map.
- Tap on Connect Uber Account.
- Tap on Continue.
- Log in to your Uber account and tap on Continue. If you don’t have an Uber Family Profile, follow the prompts to create one.
- Review the Uber data and permissions access request, then tap on Allow.
- Select the members you want to add to your Uber Family Profile.
- Select the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy checkbox and tap on Send Invite.
Circle members who receive an invite can tap the link they receive to set up an Uber account if they do not already have one.
Note: All Circle members must be part of an Uber Family Profile to see ride activity in Life360. Each person can only belong to one Uber Family Profile at a time. For help with Uber rides, payments, or profiles, contact Uber for rider support.
Order or Send an Uber Ride
- Tap on a Circle member’s avatar on the Life360 map.
- At the bottom of the screen, tap on Send a Ride. If for yourself, tap on Order a Ride.
- Confirm the pickup time and the member the ride will be sent to.
- Confirm the pickup location and destination.
- Choose and confirm your ride option.
View Uber Rides
Once an Uber ride is requested, you will be able to see the request location on the map and the Uber details, including ETA and the car type.
When a Circle member is on an Uber ride, their focus mode will show a ride status indicator. You can also view past Uber rides in the History feed by tapping on a ride entry for more details.
Note: Uber ride routes displayed in Life360 are based on Life360 location data, not Uber’s route. Uber driver, route, and payment details are not available in the Life360 app.
Disconnect An Uber Account
To disconnect an Uber account from your Life360 Circle:
- In the Life360 app, tap on Settings.
- Tap on Privacy Center.
- Under Trusted Partners, tap on Uber.
- Tap on the toggle to the right of Connect to Uber.
- Review the confirmation and tap on Disconnect Uber.
