Data Breach Alerts notify you if your information is found on the dark web and provide steps to help you secure any exposed data.
Note: Data Breach Alerts are available to all members in a paid Circle in the US, Canada, and the UK.
Turn on Data Breach Alerts
- Tap on the Safety tab at the bottom of the app.
- Tap on Data Breach Alerts.
- Follow the steps on the screen to turn on Data Breach Alerts.
Turn off Data Breach Alerts
You can opt out of Data Breach Alerts at any time.
- Tap on the Settings icon in the upper left corner.
- Tap on Digital Safety.
- Scroll down to and tap on Digital Safety.
- Tap on the toggle to turn Data Breach Alerts off.
View Details About a Data Breach Alert
- Tap on the Safety tab at the bottom of the app.
- In Digital Safety, tap on Data Breach Alerts.
- Select which member you want to view Data Breach Alerts for.
- If any breaches are found, you can tap on one to see more details. This includes what personal information was exposed and steps you can take to prevent identity theft.
Maintaining Online Security
As a general best practice for maintaining online security, we recommend the following steps:
- Regularly monitor your account for any unusual activity.
- Avoid using the same username and password across different online services.
- Change your passwords periodically.
- Use strong, unique passwords that include a mix of letters, numbers, and special characters.
- Be cautious about emails, phone calls, or messages that ask for your personal details.
