Account/Phone Number Locked
When you enter your phone number in the Life360 app, you will receive a verification code via SMS. If the incorrect code is entered too many times, your ability to verify your phone number will be disabled for 24 hours. After 24 hours, you can request a new code and attempt to log in again.
Note: The phone number you enter must be able to receive verification codes via SMS. Landline phones and some virtual text service providers may not be able to receive SMS.

Verification Code Not Received
If you are not receiving the SMS verification code, make sure you have entered the correct number.
- If it is a new phone number, follow these steps:
- Reset your password.
- Open the Life360 app.
- Tap on Sign In with Email.
- Tap on Continue.
- Enter the new password.
- Tap on Edit phone number.
- Enter your new phone number and tap on Send Code.
- Note: The phone number you enter must be able to receive verification codes via SMS. Landline phones and some virtual text service providers may not be able to receive SMS.
- Enter the code.
Phone Number Invalid
You can update your phone number by following these steps:
If you are already logged into your Life360 app:
- Tap on Update Phone Number.
- Enter your phone number and tap on Continue.
- Enter the verification code you receive via SMS into the Life360 app and tap on Continue.
If you are not logged into your Life360 app:
- Tap on Sign In with Email.
- Enter your email address and tap on Continue.
- Enter your password and tap on Continue.
- Enter your phone number and tap on Continue.
- Enter the verification code you receive via SMS into the Life360 app and tap on Continue.
Forgot Password
To reset your password, use the Life360 Reset Password tool. You can also request a password reset link.
Phone Number Already In Use
If you have entered your phone number correctly and the app states that it is already in use, you can claim your phone number and try again.
