Safety Incidents are recent, high-severity events that appear on the Life360 map as a yellow pin with an exclamation point. Safety Incidents are available only to US members.
A Safety Incident appears on the map, and a notification is sent when:
- It is a serious event, such as a fire, theft, or weapon-related crime.
- It occurred in the last six hours.
- It occurred within one mile of you or a member of your Circle.

Tap on any Safety Incident pin on the map to view more details about the incident and contact any member of your Circle that is nearby.
Note: Members in free Circles can view details for up to three Safety Incidents within 24 hours. To view more than three in 24 hours, upgrade your Circle to a Gold or Platinum membership.
Turn Off Safety Incidents on the Map
- Tap on the map icon in the lower right corner of the map.
- Under Map Details, tap on the toggle to the right of Safety Incidents to turn them on or off.
