Getting Started with Jiobit for Pets Beta in the Life360 app

Jiobit for Pets BETA is a GPS Tile tracker designed to help you monitor your pet in the Life360 app, no matter where they wander. It offers peace of mind with real-time location tracking and is now available for order exclusively on Tile.com.

Note: Available to Android users in the US only. A Life360 Gold annual membership is required. 

Activate your Jiobit for Pets BETA

1. Log in to your Life360 app. 
2. Tap on Set Up My Tracker.
3. Tap on Enable Permission for bluetooth permissions, then tap on Allow on the pop-up. Jiobit for Pets BETA requires bluetooth to be turned On with permissions accepted for Life360.
4. Tap on Enable Permission for location permissions, then tap on Allow all the time on the pop-up.
5. Insert the Jiobit into the charging dock until it clicks, as displayed in the app. Once the connection is successful, its light will turn green. This can take up to a minute.
6. Once your device is successfully activated, tap on Set Up Profile.

Set Up Your Pet’s Profile

1. Select the type of pet you have and tap on Next.
2. Add your pet’s name and tap on Next.
3. Tap on Continue.
4. Select the location you want set as your home and tap on Next.
5. Follow the in-app steps to allow the necessary permissions for Life360 and your Jiobit for Pets BETA.

Connect to Wifi

1. Choose your Wifi network from the network list.
2. Enter the password and tap on Connect.
3. Once the connection is successful, tap on I’m ready to learn.

Attach Your Jiobit for Pets BETA

Your Jiobit for Pets BETA comes with multiple attachment options so you can choose the one that best secures it to your pet’s collar or harness. Make sure the grey side of the Jiobit for Pets BETA with the logo is facing out.

Due to the risk of signal interference, we recommend that you avoid attaching the Jiobit to:

• Metal objects (such as dog tags, belt buckles, or metal key rings looped through the Jiobit where the attachments clip in.)
• The underside of your cat or dog or anywhere your furry friend may be able to lay on the Jiobit and block the antennas.
• Heavy layers of clothing.
• The depths of a backpack or purse.
• Shoes.
