Note: This feature is currently available to a small number of Beta testers only.
You can link an Apple Watch to your Life360 Circle, allowing you to see the watch user’s location and receive alerts without a phone.
Note: Life360 on Apple Watch is a lighter experience than the phone app. Location updates may be less frequent, and certain features such as Emergency Dispatch and Crash Detection are not available.

- Emergency Dispatch and Crash Detection are not available through the Life360 Watch app.
Add an Apple Watch (GPS + Cellular)
To connect an Apple Watch, it must be GPS and cellular-enabled and connected through Apple’s Family Setup.
Note: When you add the Life360 app to an Apple Watch, it will create a new account linked to the watch’s unique phone number. If the person already has a Life360 account on their phone, they cannot sign into that account on their watch. Once setup is complete, they will appear in your Circle with a watch icon next to their avatar on the map and next to their name on their profile.
On the Apple Watch
- Open the Watch App Store and download the Life360 app.
- Tap on Allow for all required permissions.
- Tap on Yes to confirm the watch is cellular-enabled and has a phone number.
On Your Phone
- Open your camera and scan the QR code that appears on the Apple Watch.
- Enter the phone number associated with the Apple Watch, then tap on Continue.
- Enter the watch user’s name, then tap on Continue.
- Enter the watch user’s birthday, then tap Continue.
- If your child is under 13, you will need to provide parental consent and verify your identity using a government-issued ID and a selfie.
- Add a photo to their profile, then tap on Yes, continue.
