To activate a Tile in the Life360 app, check the following:
- All required permissions settings for the Life360 app are enabled.
- There is a strong wifi/cellular connection on your mobile device.
- You are on the latest version of the Life360 app.
Activation Steps
- Tap on the Keys icon or tap on Add an Item.
- Tap on Add your Tiles.
- If your Life360 account email is not verified or there is no email associated with it, a popup appears to verify your account.
- Confirm if you have activated your Tiles in the Tile app.
- On the Success screen in Life360, tap the arrows to view Tile functions.
- On the Enable Bluetooth screen, tap on Enable Bluetooth.
- Tap on Ok in the pop-up notification.
- Press the button on your Tile to activate it. It will play a wake up tune.
- Once activation is successful, tap on Next.
- Select what your Tile will be used for and tap on Continue.
- Enter your Tile’s name and tap on Save.
Once your Tile is set up, you can find and manage your Tiles in the Life360 app.
Verify Your Email
Verifying your Life360 email creates a Tile account with that email. To link accounts, make sure your Tile and Life360 email addresses match. If they don’t, the accounts will not link and your Tiles will not show.
To verify your email:
- Tap on Verify Now to verify your email address.
- Enter your email address and tap on Continue.
Log in to the Tile app
If you already have an account:
- Select Yup, link my Tile account.
- Enter your Tile login information.
- Tap on Continue.
If you do not have a Tile account:
- Select Not Yet.
- Install the Tile app.
- Tap on Continue with Life360.
- Enter the email address you use for your Life360 account.
- Open the email sent from Tile and tap on Set Password.
- Enter your new password and tap on Save.
