Pets in the Life360 app are protected by our Pet Finder Network, indicated with a shield icon next to your pet’s picture. When your pet goes missing, our Pet Finder Network alerts nearby Life360 members with your pet’s photo and details to increase the chances of their safe return.
Send a Lost Pet Alert
Before you send a Lost Pet Alert, ensure that:
- Your pet’s profile is up to date with important details, including their breed, weight, notable markings, and a clear, recent photo so they can be easily identified. Avoid using photos that are blurry, dark, zoomed in, contain multiple pets/people, posters, or screenshots. If the photo doesn’t meet these guidelines, the Lost Pet Alert may be declined.
- Your phone number is up to date and verified in your account, so you can be reached quickly in case your pet is found.
- You send the alert in close proximity to where the pet was last seen. The location of a Lost Pet Alert is determined by where it is triggered.
Note: The ability to send a Lost Pet Alert is currently available to certain members, and those who can must be 18 or older to send or receive a Lost Pet Alert. When you send a Lost Pet Alert, your phone number will be shared with nearby Life360 members. Life360 is not responsible for any actions taken or messages sent by other members.
