The Life360 Pet Tag is a small metal tag with a QR code on the back that can be scanned if your pet goes missing. When scanned, you will receive an app notification, an inbox message, and an email containing details the finder shared, such as their location.
Pet Tag is not a GPS or bluetooth tracker and will not provide location updates for your pet. For real-time tracking, link a Pet GPS. You can link both a GPS tracker and a Pet Tag to your pet’s profile.
Link a Pet Tag to a Pet Profile
Before you link your Pet Tag, create a Life360 account, create a Circle, and set up a Pet Profile. Only one Pet Tag per Pet Profile.
- Scan the QR code on the back of the Pet Tag to launch the Life360 app.
- If you have more than one Circle, select the Circle your pet is in.
- Select the Pet Profile you want to link to your Pet Tag.
- Tap on Continue to confirm your phone number and email will be shared as contact information if someone finds your pet and scans the QR code.
- Once the Pet Tag successfully links, tap on Next.
- Confirm your pet’s profile information, then tap Save.
Remove a Pet Tag From a Pet Profile
When you remove a Pet Tag, it is no longer linked to that pet. It can be relinked to another Pet Profile.
- Tap on the Paw Print icon below the map.
- Select the Pet Profile you want to manage.
- Tap on Profile at the bottom of the screen. If you don’t see Profile, scroll left on the action buttons to find it.
- Under Connected Devices, tap on the trash can icon to the right of Pet Tag.
- Tap on Yes, remove.
I Found a Pet
If you find a pet wearing a Life360 Pet Tag, you can scan the QR code on the back to view the pet’s information. You can choose to contact the owner, leave a note, or share your location with them, no Life360 app required.
