Pet GPS Modes

Your Pet GPS has two modes that let you choose between optimizing for location precision or for battery life.

Standard Mode 

This is the Pet GPS default mode, which keeps the device online except when inside a Place to extend battery life. Ring and Light commands function over Bluetooth while in a Place. 

Beast Mode (Beta)

This mode keeps your Pet GPS online at all times, providing more frequent location updates and allowing it to be tracked inside a Place. It supports Ring and Light functions over cellular.

Note: Beast Mode significantly reduces the Pet GPS battery life. This mode is recommended when real-time tracking is necessary, such as during travel, off-leash time, or if your pet wanders often. 

Change Your Pet GPS Mode

Mode changes require the Pet GPS to connect to the network. If your pet goes missing while in Standard Mode, switching it to Beast Mode will only update its location once it’s able to make a connection.

1. Tap on your pet’s avatar on the map.
2. Tap on the info icon to the right of the mode displayed under your pet’s name.
3. Tap on Change setting.
4. Select a mode, then tap Continue.
