Smart Notifications

The Life360 app offers smart notifications for Low Battery, Safe Drive, Severe Weather, and Places.
 

Note: You must have at least one member in your Circle before you can use or edit Smart Notifications.

Low Battery Notifications

A Low Battery notification is sent when a member’s phone battery drops below 10%.

1. Tap on Settings.
2. Tap on Smart Notifications.
3. Tap on the toggle to turn Low Battery Notifications On for members in your Circle you want to receive notifications for or Off for members you don’t.

Safety Incident Notifications

A Safety Incident notification is sent when a recent, high-severity incident has occurred near you or members of your Circle.

1. Tap on Settings.
2. Tap on Smart Notifications.

Tap on the toggle to turn Safety Incidents On for members in your Circle you want to receive notifications for or Off for members you don’t.

Safe Drive Notifications

A Safe Drive notification is sent when a Circle member completes a drive. It includes information like distance and top speed. 

1. Tap on Settings.
2. Tap on Smart Notifications.
3. Tap on the toggle to turn Safe Drive Notifications On for members in your Circle you want to receive notifications for or Off for members you don’t.

Severe Weather Alerts

The Life360 app partners with AccuWeather to send you alerts in cases of severe weather in your area or another Circle member’s area.

1. Tap on Settings.
2. Tap on Smart Notifications.
3. Tap on the toggle to turn Severe weather alerts Off or On.

Place Notifications

Receive notifications when Circle members or pets with Pet GPS arrive or leave a Place, such as home, school, or work. Free memberships include notifications for 2 Places. To receive notifications for unlimited Places, upgrade your Membership plan.

1. Tap on the Places icon under the map.
2. Tap on the Place you want to edit.
3. Tap on the toggles for Arrives and Leaves to the right of each member or pet you want to receive or disable notifications for.

Note: If the radius of two or more Places overlap, touch each other, or are extremely close, you will receive inaccurate Place alerts.
