When your Tile's battery is running low, the Life360 app will notify you via push notification and email. You'll also see a low battery icon on your Tile in the app and a banner in your Tile's Focus Mode.
A low battery Tile will eventually stop providing location updates.
You can resolve a low battery depending on whether your Tile has a replaceable or non-replaceable battery:
Replaceable battery
Your Tile's battery can be replaced.
- Follow the steps to replace your Tile’s battery.
- Once the battery is replaced, open the Life360 app.
- Tap on the Tile.
- Tap on the Battery low, replace soon banner above the map.
- A pop-up appears asking if you replaced the battery. Tap on Yes, I did.
Non-replaceable battery
Your Tile needs to be replaced with a new device.
- In the Life360 app, tap on the Tile.
- Tap on Shop New Tiles to purchase a new Tile.
- If you already have a replacement Tile, tap on Set up replacement, and follow the activation steps. Once activated, the details from the old Tile will automatically transfer to the new one.
Note: If you have a non-replaceable Tile and are not ready to replace it, you can hide it to keep it out of view.
